Registered Clinical Dietitian Role

Provide expert nutrition care as a Registered Clinical Dietitian at Vancouver Island Health Authority. Your role focuses on patient counseling and planning in clinical settings.
Reporting to the Manager of Food Services - North Island, you will implement and assess nutritional care for both hospital and community patients. Engage with patients and families to educate them on effective dietary practices and meal preparations according to nutrition guidelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct patients on dietary needs and food planning
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff
• Evaluate the effectiveness of dietary interventions
• Coordinate with food service team and community programs
• Guide patients through nutritional therapy
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition
• Completion of a recognized dietetic internship
• Registration as a Dietitian with BC's regulatory body
