Join Ontario Northland as a Railway Car Technician located in Cochrane. This position is focused on the inspection and maintenance of rail car equipment alongside a skilled team.
You will report to the Supervisor of Equipment Maintenance in the Rail Mechanical department. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing rail car equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and operating various testing tools and heavy machinery. Your mechanical skills and safety mindset will be essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and repair rail car equipment and systems
• Perform necessary preventive maintenance tasks
• Work with blueprints and technical documentation
• Operate cranes and forklifts to assist maintenance
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED necessary
• Certificate of Qualification as Railway Car Technician 268R desired
• Mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills
