Purchasing Supervisor (Tijuana)

Supervises a team of buyers and the process for the acquisition of products for one or more product groups.

• Understand root cause of quality issues and facilitate communication with Regional Management, suppliers, and BU's for resolution.
• Understand Supplier Approval Process and relationships with related functions to ensure compliance.
• Understand strategies, risk, and opportunities within assigned commodities as developed by the Regional Commodity Managers.
• Facilitate development of Procurement strategy and identify risk and opportunities within scope; manage implementation of strategies within scope.
• Support Multiple BU's and Natural Owners.
• Perform cost/price analysis with total cost of ownership as objective.
• Identify, negotiate and implement cost avoidance/reduction opportunities through total cost analysis.
