Job Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 4-6 Material Buyers
• Supervise raw material to identify, solve and prevent shortages
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure correct inventory levels avoiding expedited, short and over inventory
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure we meet goals
• Ensure the timely and proper involvement of the purchasing team in new products and engineering changes to avoid obsolescence of raw material and finished product
• Lead improvement projects in the materials area
• Negotiate with suppliers the introduction of a consignment model
• Ensure the availability of purchased material to support the manufacturing process in a J.I.T manner
• Work with the Materials Management to help meet the organization's objectives
• Track all material flow in your areas of responsibility and recommend changes as needed...
