Public Relations Specialist

At Mongrel Media, we aren’t just looking for a traditional publicist; we are looking for a Public Relations Specialist who respects the prestige of a Globe and Mail review but understands the conversion power of a viral TikTok trend. You will bridge the gap between “high-brow” entertainment and “high-engagement” digital storytelling. You should have a general knowledge of both the Canadian film industry and a sense of the global arts and culture scene.

You will lead the charge in evolving our communications strategy. Your goal is to blend classic media relations with digital tactics to ensure our films cut through the noise of the streaming era and land squarely in the center of the cultural conversation. This role will be instrumental in modernizing our audience engagement strategy by incorporating influencer partnerships, content creators, and digital-first campaigns to amplify film releases and brand visibility.
