Public Engagement Specialist

Summary This position provides support to the Director of Public Liaison in researching and developing strategies to promote greater visibility and enhance the Office of Public Liaison in DOT mission-driven activities. Responsibilities As a Public Engagement Specialist, you will: Serve as a liaison between organizations and the transportation industry to research and develop strategies. Promote greater visibility and connection of overall policy objectives to enhance DOT's outreach through collaborative efforts. Integrate and align efforts with DOT's larger mission. Participate in discussions and activities, including interviews, meetings, and academic professional society functions. Conduct reviews and analyses of major transportation policy issues, problems, and proposals covering all modes of transportation.
