The Nurse Practitioner manages a patient caseload as an integral member of a Health Care Team. The team is composed of a variety of health care providers and team composition may vary dependent on identified needs. The Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with all health care providers. Direct client services provided by the Nurse Practitioner include client medical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of minor illness, health promotion and chronic disease prevention and management. Works collaboratively with the Most Responsible Provider (MRP) in the Prince County Hospital Mental Health Unit. The Nurse Practitioner is the MRP for the Transition’s Addictions Unit.
