Aversan Inc. is hiring a Project Buyer to oversee procurement tasks in Ottawa, Ontario, with a hybrid work setup. Focus on improving supplier performance and optimizing procurement costs.
In this contractor role, you will handle procurement operations, including RFX, PR, and PO processes for aerospace and defense projects. Successful applicants will have a strong background in sourcing, timely order management, and collaboration with project stakeholders. Familiarity with procurement practices will support efficient supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct RFx and sourcing negotiations to maximize value
• Compile purchasing reports to support strategic planning
• Manage purchase requisition through to invoicing
• Confirm PO details with suppliers and ensure prompt deliveries
• Address and resolve procurement challenges as they arise
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field
• 5 years of related procurement experience
