Primary Care Locum Physician for Northwest Territories

Overview

MDSearch is recruiting a CCFP-trained Primary Care Physician to join Inuvik Regional Hospital, the only hospital facility serving the Beaufort-Delta region. This role focuses on comprehensive, patient-centred primary care with flexibility to manage complex and multi-issue visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centred primary care.
• Manage multi-issue visits and coordinate holistic primary care.
• Occasional phone appointments for prescription refills.
• Extend appointments to 30 minutes for more complex cases when needed.

Qualifications

• CCFP (Canadian College of Family Physicians) credentialing required.
• Licensing: Not licensed yet; NWT licensing and credentialing typically takes ~6 weeks to complete. Initial licensing/registration fee in the Northwest Territories is $383.
