Power System Study Specialist

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for power system simulations and grid/interconnection compliance across the Americas. Lead delivery of generator/grid compliance studies and oversee RMS and EMT simulation work using industry tools (e.g., PSS®E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, RTDS). Ensure high-quality model development, validation, and clear reporting aligned with utility and operator expectations.
• Regulatory & Standards Alignment: Interpret and apply North American reliability/interconnection requirements (e.g., NERC and ISO/RTO expectations) and Latin American local grid codes, as applicable. Coordinate with utilities and grid operators (transmission/system operators and planning/reliability counterparts) to secure approvals and resolve technical gaps. Maintain awareness of evolving standards, grid codes, and compliance practices across the region.
