Position Summary
Develop advanced bioimaging methods and apply them to study the molecular mechanisms that paxillin and its binding partners use to regulate cell migration. Learn cell biology, advanced microscopy, quantitative imaging, molecular mechanisms regulating cell migration and work independently and as part of a team. Develop protocols, quantitative image analysis pipelines, training and education materials, assist with manuscript and grant writing and present at courses, workshops and/or conferences. Microscopy training, presentations at lab meetings, one-on-one meetings with supervisor, training courses outside of McGill, literature reviews, involvement in bioimaging communities of practice. Attend regular lab meetings, attend relevant McGill University seminars, participate in International technology user groups, help supervise students.
