Job Description
The post‑doctoral fellow will be responsible for: i) Interfacing an ab initio database with MAGEMin and BurnMan for the lower‑mantle NCMASF3 system; ii) Training a Mixture Density Network emulator on 106 thermodynamic evaluations; iii) Implementing a global MCMC Bayesian inversion of the SPARTANS tomographic model; and iv) Computing laterally varying core‑mantle boundary heat flux maps for geodynamo simulations within the SHARP project (funded by FAPESP through grant number 2024/08341-6).
Mandatory Requirements
- PhD in Geophysics, Physics, Earth Sciences or related field obtained within the last 7 years
- Demonstrated experience in numerical geophysical modeling or computational mineral physics
- Proficiency in at least one scientific programming language (Python, Fortran, or C)
- Familiarity with inversion methods or machine learning
