Make purchases and supplies of direct material for the production area, in such a way as to ensure continuity according to the production program and have zero-line stoppages due to missing materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Review of MRP requirements, placement, expediting, cancellation and rescheduling of purchase orders.
• In the case of short material for production, follow up and ensure that it arrives on time. Lead with the departments involved until the material is delivered.
• Feedback of the shorts in the appropriate reports such as the shortages report and the expedited report.
• Maintain inventory at optimal levels according to needs.
• In case of obsolete inventory, keep the information updated in the quarterly obsolete report and follow up on its disposition within the department.
