Physiotherapy Assistant - Rehabilitation Services

The Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) is an active member of the health care team who works with individuals, families and groups to educate, promote health, and increase or maintain function and activity throughout all stages of health and complexities of illness. As part of an inter-professional team, the PTA works effectively to provide optimal physiotherapy care and to assist the patient in achieving their physiotherapy goals. The PTA motivates and encourages the patient to meet their expected outcomes by contributing to the valuation, implementation and ongoing modification of the patient's physiotherapy program and by participating in the provision of holistic and comprehensive physiotherapy care.
