Physiotherapist - CVICU/CICU/D3 - Cardiac surgery, Vascular surgery and Cardiology

Summary of Duties

The Physiotherapist (in collaboration with the interprofessional team) is responsible for providing person‑centred patient assessments and interventions for cardiology patients, as well as post‑operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients. The role focuses on delivering care in the ICU, while continuing to follow patients on the ward and toward discharge. The successful candidate will make recommendations for follow‑up as required (e.g., Home Care Program, community or rehabilitation resources) in the Schulich Heart Program. The physiotherapist works with the team in the Schulich Heart Program to enhance and support best practice and maintain existing collaborative relationships.
