Overview
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking Physician Assistants/Clinical Assistants for two full-time positions in Cardiac Sciences at the St. Boniface General Hospital.
Responsibilities
The Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant will perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations/interventions. Duties include performing history and physical exams in settings such as the Emergency Department and wards, and following patients in the pre-/peri-/postoperative ward and/or other clinical settings. They will attend clinical and educational rounds and complete standard-of-practice recordings of all patient encounters, which may require dictation or use of electronic medical records where available. Assistants must communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
