The Phlebotomist I plays a key role in safely and accurately collecting blood specimens, supporting laboratory operations, and ensuring a positive experience for patients. This role involves performing venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures, maintaining specimen integrity, and contributing to efficient workflow by assisting with troubleshooting, training, and process improvement recommendations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform blood collection procedures through venipuncture and capillary puncture using appropriate techniques and equipment, including butterfly needles when needed.
+ Accurately identify patients and verify all specimen collection requirements prior to performing any procedure.
