PhD in Observational Cosmology at ICE-Barcelona

Location: Institute of Space Sciences (ICE-CSIC), Barcelona, Spain.

The “Observational Cosmology and Extragalactic Astrophysics” group at the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE, CSIC; ) invites applications for one PhD position to start as early as September 2026. The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Martin Crocce and Dr. Matteo Zennaro.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate is expected to research aspects of galaxy clustering and weak gravitational lensing, including their modeling through analytic theory or simulations and the cosmological inference. The student will contribute to the scientific exploitation of the ESA Euclid mission ( ) and other leading galaxy surveys, such as DESI, Rubin/LSST, and DES.
