Opportunity Description
The **Patient Navigator** will serve as a liason for the patient, provider, and Akumin. They will assist in scheduling exams, obtaining prior authorizations, burn CD’s, print reports, help with obtaining prior patient records for imaging, follow up on outstanding reports etc.
**Specific duties include, but are not limited to:**
+ Ensures patient satisfaction by providing excellent service by ensuring ease of appointment scheduling.
+ Works with case managers to ensure that reports are available and uploaded in time for patients follow up appointments. Works with case managers on addendums, and direct contact between provider and radiologist.
+ Obtain preauthorization and/or predetermination for imaging procedures from insurance companies. Provides supporting documentation for all insurance appeals and denials.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Position Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
+ CPR Certification.
