Discovery Silver Corp. is offering an exciting opportunity for a Paste Plant Lab Tech. The successful applicant will report to the Operations Coordinator and be responsible for preparing safe and accurate paste backfill pipe installation prints; preparing paste backfill bulkhead prints and stope fill plans; ensuring current and future QA/QC requirements are achieved for paste backfilling of stopes and operation/maintenance of the underground distribution system; and providing quality scheduling and technical support to surface and underground paste backfill.

Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma in Mining or Mineral Technology or 5 years’ practical experience in an underground mine.
• Knowledge of mining processes.
• Strong math skills and a knowledge of natural sciences, especially geology and chemistry.
• Highly proficient computer skills, particularly ACAD and Amine.
