Part-time lecturer in Writing for English Language Learners

Position Description:



NYU London is currently recruiting for a part-time lecturer to teach Academic English for Liberal Studies sponsored by NYU's Liberal Studies Program. Teaching commences in the Autumn term (Sept-Dec 2026).


Course Description



This class will focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening for academic purposes and is designed to provide advanced English support to students who are enrolled in degree programs full-time. Students will work with authentic sources and receive individualized feedback on accuracy, pronunciation, and both productive and receptive language skills.



Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, students will have learned to:


+ Produce a range of texts that follow academic rhetorical structures (i.e., development, organization, unity, and coherence) typical for Liberal Studies assignments
