MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Deliver classroom instruction aligned with the ServSafe® Manager Certification exam, including food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
+ Prepare students to successfully pass the ServSafe® Manager certification exam through structured lessons, practice tests, and review sessions.
+ Teach core topics such as foodborne illness prevention, personal hygiene, time and temperature control, cross-contamination, cleaning and sanitizing, and HACCP principles.
+ Provide hands-on culinary instruction to reinforce classroom learning, including: basic knife skills and kitchen safety, food preparation techniques (measuring, mixing, cooking methods, etc.) , proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices and kitchen organization and workflow.
+ Supervise students in a lab/kitchen environment, ensuring safe and sanitary practices at all times
