Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Knowledgeable about the Oracle, Sybase and SQL Database architecture
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle 12c installation, configuration, and disaster recovery procedures
- Worked on multiple Oracle Database releases
- Perform database refreshes, installs, and space management
- Knowledge of shell scripts
- Proficient in UNIX – Solaris/Linux (all current releases)
- Database user creation
- Hands‑on with RMAN backup & recovery, ADDM/ASH reports, and database export/import functions
- Adding of datafiles and space management
- Well versed with index and reorganization of database objects
- Change management and application of data‑fixes
- Well versed with audit concepts
- Analysis and implementation of CPU patching on a production system independently
- Understanding of database concepts as a SME and ability to provide solutions
