Operations Coordinator

Location: Vancouver Convention Centre, BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo).

Position type: Casual. This role operates on a compressed 4‑day work week of 9‑hour shifts covering all 24/7/365 hours in the Services Operations Centre (SOC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, access control, fire panel and various alarms including fire, intrusion and duress.
• Identify potential threats to safety and security and coordinate appropriate response.
• Oversee safety & security of the building and surrounding area, including monitoring suspicious or forbidden activities and deploying security and/or VPD as required.
• Manage access control via cameras, motion detectors, door alarms and SiPass card system ensuring documentation and storage of footage.
