Island Health has a full‑time vacancy for an Obstetrician & Gynecologist at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
Applicants must hold or be eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics & Gynecology and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
The successful candidate will participate in paid on‑call coverage with nine members (some part‑time) at the 224‑bed hospital, serving an immediate population of 125,000 and a secondary referral population of over 350,000. The role includes approximately one operating‑room day per week.
The hospital offers state‑of‑the‑art operating rooms and a new perinatal unit with single‑room maternity care and a Level II Special Care Nursery with 1,200 deliveries per year.
