Opportunity Description
Course Overview
This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to care for families who have at least one member experiencing an acute or chronic illness, as well as consideration of the health of populations. Students will be expected to care for families in multiple settings, including their home and hospital. Students will integrate and apply the theory examined in NURS 4113 and NURS 4121 in this practice setting.
Prerequisites
- NURS 4111 and NURS 4121
- A Bachelor Degree or higher in Nursing and active registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick
- Current CPR-HCP (or BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Recent relevant clinical experience in acute (medical surgical) nursing preferred
- Previous teaching experience would be considered an asset
