6 South is AnMed’s 28-bed Adult Surgical/Med-Surg Unit. This unit primarily focuses on colon, lung, abdominal, bariatric, vascular, and trauma patients. They also provide care for complex wound management, ostomy patients, and dialysis patients. AnMed earned accreditation by the DNV for Top Performers on Key Quality Measures for excellence in surgical care. The nurse manager for 6 South is a Palmetto Gold Award winner, who values teamwork.
