Nurse Practitioner Team Leader – Outpatient Cardiology

Job Summary:
Clinical Duties:


+ Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for outpatient cardiology patients

+ Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, labs)

+ Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists

+ Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications

+ Ensure timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)


Leadership & Team Management:


+ Serve as a clinical leader and mentor for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff

+ Support onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of APPs

+ Provide input into performance evaluations and workflow optimization

+ Provide clinical coverage across multiple clinics, when needed. May require travel.
