Department: Specialized Adult Rehabilitation & Transitional Services - Oak Lodge and Nickel Lodge

Oak Lodge is an 18 bed, short‑term comprehensive assessment unit focused on supporting individuals with an age‑related dementia, complicated by responsive behaviours that exceed the capacity of the community, hospital, or long‑term care. The goal is to understand the reasons behind these changes and develop individualized care plans to improve quality of life resulting in decreased responsive behaviours.

Nickel Lodge is a 16 bed Specialized Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation program which provides care and support to those with complex mental health problems who often present with a concurrent substance use disorder. This specialized unit is patient driven, recovery‑oriented, and integrates patient wishes and goals through a wellness framework.
