Muon Trigger AI/ML Algorithmist – L0 & FPGA Expert

CERN in Switzerland seeks a candidate to design new algorithms for the L0 muon trigger as part of the Next Generation Trigger programme. You will work with NexGen doctoral students and supervise teams, focusing on robust trigger performance for exotic signatures and rare Standard Model processes.

Requirements include a PhD (or equivalent) with limited post-grad experience, experience with trigger systems, FPGAs, and AI/ML, plus strong software and communication skills.
