Join AKITA Drilling Canada as a Motorhand responsible for equipment maintenance and supporting the drill team. Ideal candidates will have mechanical aptitude and essential safety certifications.
As a Motorhand, you ensure all drilling equipment operates smoothly while performing repairs within your skill set. You will assist the Derrick Hand and Driller and play a crucial role in safety compliance. A key aspect of this role involves preventative maintenance, inspections, and mentoring newer Floor Hands on the drill floor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance on drilling equipment
• Inspect equipment and report issues daily
• Maintain accurate log sheets and maintenance cards
• Ensure cleanliness of all equipment
• Assist in training Floor Hands under Driller supervision
