Model Maker 3D Printing Specialist

Job Description

The Model Maker 3D Printing Specialist plays a key role within the Product Development team. This position is responsible for day‑to‑day operations of the 3D printing department at the heart of prototyping, concept validation, and new product development activities.

Using files provided by the Design and Engineering teams, the incumbent prepares, prints, post‑processes, and performs quality inspections on printed parts. The Technician also contributes to optimal equipment performance by carrying out preventive maintenance and assisting with technical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with 3D printing technologies and print preparation software such as Grabcad and Preform.
• Ability to read, modify, and optimize 3D design files, particularly in SolidWorks.
• Experience with the setup, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of 3D printers.
