Metal Shop Lead Hand

We are looking for an experienced Metal Shop Lead Hand to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, fabricating aluminum for trade show exhibits and museums. Bring your leadership experience and metal fabrication skills to our team of talented, diverse individuals who value collaboration and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, determine materials required
• Measure, cut, and shape metal (mainly aluminum fabrication) using appropriate tools and equipment
• Weld or bolt sections together
• Verify accuracy of finished product
• Assemble to test fitment and pack for shipping
• Collaborate in fabrication discussions and provide take‑offs for materials
• Manage 1-2 other staff members
• Manage inventory and order stock items
• Allocate material costs to jobs
• Perform ongoing maintenance of metal shop equipment
