The Medical Technologist will perform the following duties: perform complex laboratory procedures utilized for the diagnosis and treatment of disease as appropriate for patient age to include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric adults; recognizes deviation from expected results; analyzes and corrects problems using scientific principles. Provide reliable test results that aid the physician in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of patients. Provide professional application of the principles, theories and techniques essential for providing reliable test results, which aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Perform a variety of laboratory tests many of which are complex, involving numerous steps and techniques. Operate laboratory information systems, PC, and instrument-related computer software.
