Role Overview

Temporary full‑time Medical Lab Technologist in Hematology supporting the overnight shift at LifeLabs. The position lasts one year, commencing ASAP, with a 37.5‑hour work week from 23:00 to 07:00. Part of the OPSEU LAB collective agreement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
• Prepare and process samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
• Perform, interpret and release results, maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Identify incidents and non‑conformities, participate in corrective action planning, and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with evaluation and implementation of new technology.
• Participate in problem‑solving related to work organization and workflow.
