Opportunity Description
Position Summary
Assist physicians with physical examinations and assist with medical procedures, as directed. Perform a variety of simple and standard laboratory tests. Perform a variety of simple and standard laboratory tests. Operate a variety of laboratory equipment. Prepare and process paperwork for various laboratory tests. Maintain and update patient charts and files. Answer telephone, screen calls and take messages. Respond to patient inquiries, directing them as appropriate or providing routine information on University Health Center (UHC) procedures, hours and services available. Schedule appointments.
Qualifications
Required Education:High School diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:1 year of related experience.Preferred Experience:Experience as a Medical Assistant.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Medical Assistant Program Certificate.
