- Perform, record, and review scheduled QC (quality control). Take immediate corrective action when QC data is outside established limits.
- Verify specimen labeling, integrity, and suitability before performing testing.
- Accurately perform low, medium, and high complexity testing procedures according to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Report test results accurately and appropriately report critical test results to physician, nursing station, or physician office according to established protocol.
