Mechanical Failure Analysis Specialist - Small Components & Undercarriage

Overview

OEM Remanufacturing is Finning’s flagship reman facility rebuilding some of the largest Caterpillar mining equipment in the world. Our Technical Services department is looking for someone to join the dynamic failure analysis team. In this role you will learn the process of failure analysis on Caterpillar small components and undercarriage in order to determine the root cause of component failure. This is carried out as a team by documenting component condition on the shop floor, researching component history, analyzing individual piece parts and relating this information to the function and operation of the components. Using this information, you will prepare technical reports for the end customer and Caterpillar that can initiate product and performance improvement. Safety and the spirit of continuous improvement are integrated into everything we do.
