Mechanical Engineer

Position summary

The Mechanical Design Engineer will support lead engineers with the creation of 3D parts, assembly CAD models, 2D drawings, and 3D Model Based Definitions, Bill of Materials (BOM), and PLM/PDM data. They will perform tasks with minimal supervision and coaching, supporting NPDI projects to develop reliable and accurate designs for water chiller products.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of chiller products developing structural sheet metal parts and HVAC piping, including refrigerant and hydraulic components.
• Create and maintain 3D assembly models in Creo.
• Develop 3D parts and create required documentation: 2D drawings or 3D Model Based Definitions (PVZ’s).
• Prepare and maintain BOM.
• Collaborate with electrical and thermal engineers to develop new solutions for chiller water systems.
• Select materials and hardware and maintain communication with suppliers.
