Mech. / Piping Engineer - Walkin Chennai

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed piping designs, including layout isometric drawings and stress analysis, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry codes.
• Create and review PIDs, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) to accurately represent process flow and equipment integration.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and surge analysis to optimize piping system performance and prevent operational issues.
• Specify piping materials, valves, and fittings, taking into account process conditions, corrosion resistance, and cost‑effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles.
• Minimum of 13 years of hands‑on experience in piping design and engineering, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
