Materials Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer agreements to establish policy, material storage, spare parts, identification, dispatch, and distribution.
• Design an inventory control system, kanban installation, storage, and classification of items.
• Maintain equipment assigned to the department in good condition.
• Work with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Warehouse areas to support resolution of situations that arise.
• Perform daily coordination functions of sending and receiving materials regarding transactions in the system (data entry and location).
• Direct team activities to meet production goals and maintain efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
• Control costs within budget levels, minimizing scrap and rework costs.
• Anticipate and react to production problems or delays, material shortages, and equipment malfunctions.
