Summary About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Jackson, SC. Responsibilities Ensures the safe receipt, storage, and movement of hazardous materials. Operates electric, gasoline, or diesel-powered forklift trucks to lift loads weighing up to 16,000 lbs. as high as 168 inches. Checks physical characteristics of items against stock catalog nomenclature. Performs temporary warehousing space planning. Participates in inventories by counting types and quantities of items. Inspects all classes of items for obvious damage, defects, excess wear, and similar visible discrepancies.
