Our Client, a Material Engineering company, is looking for a Materials - Buyer - Direct – Intermediate for their Benicia, CA location. Responsibilities:
+ Create and manage POs (purchase orders) using MRP software; track shipments and resolve any delivery issues
+ Communicate with vendors regarding open orders, scheduling, and RFQs
+ Communicate with the appropriate departments/purchase requesters about order statuses, including any order delays or issues
+ Negotiate piercing, lead times, and terms with vendors
+ Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials
+ Buy items from our online vendors as required by our MRP (material requirement planning) software
+ Work with the accounting department to research inaccuracies in receipts compared to invoices
+ Obtain RMAs from supplies and process DMR parts through the system
