Job Description Summary The Material & Production Planner owns the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the planning parameters that drive MRP outputs in SAP. This role is the connective tissue between demand, supply, and production execution - responsible for ensuring that production orders are correctly scheduled, material-ready, and grounded in accurate data.
The planner generates and maintains demand signals (PIRs) that give buyers long-lead visibility, governs the SAP parameters that determine how inventory is replenished, and serves as the single point of contact for production schedule changes and expedite feasibility.
Develop and maintain the weekly MPS in SAP, integrating capacity and material readiness.
Own production order start dates and ensure alignment with product lead times and material status.
Review and adjust the MPS weekly to reflect changes in customer requirements, material constraints, and capacity.
