Responsibilities
- The Bulk Carrier Vessels allocated to the Marine Manager are to be operated in a safe, economical, and environmentally responsible manner, with particular attention to navigation and cargo operations in compliance with current Class, Flag, and ISM regulations.
- To make sure that vessels abide by all applicable laws and regulations, with a focus on the ISM code, the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, as well as the laws of the flag state, the port state, and the particular requirements of the industry; additionally, to provide maritime support to ships as needed.
- Assistance with issues pertaining to communication between charterers and charter parties.
- Create and carry out procedures relevant to cargo operations.
- Attend to extra responsibilities as determined by the yearly employee dialogue.
- Examine and react to Unwanted Events.
- Take part in the Shipboard Management Systems Review evaluation.
