Job Summary

The Bookstore Manager supervises all aspects of retail business in the campus bookstores, including the acquisition of textbooks and course materials for the campus bookstores and the online store. The manager provides direction and oversight of all functions at the university bookstore, including staffing, supervision, development of store staff, maintenance of sales and inventory records, store layout, and programs/projects. The incumbent monitors the financial performance of the store, keeping track of revenues and expenses to ensure profitability, and provides regular reports to ensure the bookstore exceeds sales expectations, keeping margins on target and adhering to the expense budget provided by Financial Services and Ancillary Services.
