Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Technician Responsibilities The successful candidate will join the Engineering and Maintenance team, with primary responsibility for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing plant and machinery. Key responsibilities include: Install, maintain, and repair production plant and equipment, including form/fill/seal machines, canning and packaging equipment, associated feed systems, and site utilities such as steam generation and distribution, compressed air systems, and safety systems. Diagnose faults and repair malfunctioning equipment using technical manuals, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures while adhering to safe working practices. Maintain equipment to maximise reliability and efficiency by completing both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to a high standard.
