The primary purpose of this position is to plan, lay out, fabricate, modify, repair, assemble, and install sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies and to perform welding work in the manufacture, repair, modification, and assembly of various types of metal and alloy parts, equipment, systems, and structures. Responsibilities -Plans and lays out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and work orders in the construction and maintenance of installation facilities. -Develops patterns, cuts, forms, joins, assembles, and installs items and systems which have combined straight and curved edges or irregular curves, angles, and planes. -Uses a variety of welding processes such as oxyacetylene, electrode arc, submerged arc, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, metal spray arc, and spot and stud welding to joi...
