MACHINIST LEADER

Summary You will serve as a Machinist Leader in the MRO Production Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will provide technical leadership to artisans performing aircraft field service repairs, modifications, and rework of aircraft structures and components. You will overhaul, repair, and modify complex aerospace fittings and structural components by interpreting blueprints, local engineering specifications, and engineering dispositions. You will use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges) to execute high-tolerance machining operations in accordance with aerospace specifications. You will conduct multifaceted dimensional and structural inspections on aircraft modules, including flight control surfaces, wing structures, pylons, and landing gear assemblies.
