This role primarily involves operating a large lathe machine to cut, thread, and flange ductile iron pipes for water treatment plants and related projects. As an entry-level machine operator, you will gain hands-on experience with various types of pipes and fittings.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate large lathe machines for cutting, threading, and flanging ductile iron pipes.
+ Engage in general labor duties as required.
+ Learn and apply mechanical aptitude to operate specific machines.
+ Utilize hand tools and interpret blueprints to assist in pipe fabrication.
+ Perform heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. daily.
+ Learn to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
